About
Hi, I'm a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and I specialize in trauma, stress, and anxiety. I am a U.S. Army veteran who works with first responders and veterans and teaches resilience and suicide prevention. I am currently pursuing chaplaincy in the National Guard and provide Christian counseling to those who wish as well.
I tailor the work to each individual but primarily draw from a few different approaches. Somatic Experiencing™ is a powerful tool for working with trauma, stress, and anxiety in the part of the nervous system responsible for our fight/flight/freeze responses. Additionally, I have been trained in Existential Psychotherapy and am familiar with and fond of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I have received education in Biblical counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and am a member of the Christian Association for Psychological Studies and the Association of Biblical Counselors
