I am David! As a therapist, I strive to provide a confidential, affirming, and flexible environment for my clients. My goal is to collaborate with clients and genuinely and pragmatically explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are impacting your life. The foundation of my approach to therapy is holistic and collaborative, and I work with clients to individualize their goals as we embark on the therapy journey together. My therapeutic toolbox includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention therapy for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Prolonged Exposure Therapy for Post Trauma Stress Disorder, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also incorporate mindfulness practices with my therapeutic approach. I received my Master’s in Counseling from Palo Alto University, and hold an additional Certificate in Substance Use Disorders Counseling. I am licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and specialize in working with adults with Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Depression and other Mood Disorders, Trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Substance Use Disorders, Life Transitions, and Relationship concerns.
