Throughout college, I worked as a lifeguard instructor, swim instructor and coach. When I began my counseling career, I transferred those skills to my approach to mental health counseling. As your counselor, my role is to jump in and support you while addressing the symptoms and concerns which may make you feel overwhelmed. Once those challenges have been alleviated through therapeutic work, my role will then be to facilitate skill acquisition with you to improve your present functioning and help you to navigate both the calm and rough waters that life can often present in the future.

Providing therapeutic support to college students, young adults and individuals is something that I find quite rewarding. With years of experience and a heart to serve, my desire is always to educate, motivate, inspire and empower my clients. I would love the opportunity to address any issues that you have related to trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, anger management or major life changes.
