My name is Darryl Coleman, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug counselor. I graduated from Kean University in 2008 with an MSW. I have over 13 years experience in the field, including work in substance abuse outpatient programs, residential treatment facility, and community mental health services. My areas of expertise are trauma work, family therapy, work with children, couples work, substance use, anxiety, depression, aggression, self-harm, mens issues, and addiction. My approach is focused on Family Systems and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I intently listen for the strengths and natural supports of an individual, family, or child to support in the therapeutic process. I also challenge behavior patterns and thinking patterns that do not serve you anymore, to then replace these with more healthy coping skills.
