Hello and welcome! I’m Darren. I want to work with you. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the beautiful state of Oregon. I have over 16 years of direct clinical experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and in different mental health settings. I have been a high school counselor. Young people are impressive. They are resilient. There were many sad and heartbreaking stories. Families comes in all sizes and shapes and they are doing the best they can. I was a crisis worker assessing risk and functioning at the hospitals. You learn quickly the value of being present and how to effectively work with people in crisis. I provided individual and group counseling to adults with co-occurring disorders in a crisis stabilization facility. I have experience working with folks going through the legal/Correctional system. Challenging population but I’ve done well there. I am look forward to hearing from you and the opportunity to work together.
