I am Darrell L. Renfro, Ph.D., LPC-S. I hold a doctorate degree in psychology (social research and evaluations) and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor. I have almost 20 years of experience in the social services field. I have been in private practice since 2007. As a psychotherapist, I help clients address a multitude of mental, social, substance use/abuse, addictions, cultural, identity, and behavioral issues. These include, but are not limited to, stress/anxiety management, depression, anger management, self-identity crisis, cultural-related issues, addictive behaviors, crisis management, and deviant sexual behaviors, and trauma. I also provide case management services, wellness interventions, professional development workshops, conduct assessments, job training, PLPC-clinical supervision, integrative, and consultative services.

My specialized training includes the following: Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Substance Use and Addictive Disorders, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT); Multisystemic Therapy (MST); Aggression Replacement Training (ART); Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT); Second Steps Anti-Violence and Prevention; and Motivational Interviewing. I see the therapist-client relations as a partnership. I am solution-focused and understand the basic fundamental concept of working with others for the betterment of the entirety.
