My name is Darrell Benson. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and enjoy working with people who are ready to make positive changes in their lives and relationships and willing to add some humor into therapy. I earned my MSW from Southern California University (USC) and have extensive background in working with teens as well as families. I enjoy working with individuals of a large age range who are seeking to rediscover the inner connection with self. I believe that everyone can engage in discovering or rediscovering the inner beauty that has been dormant, hidden, or damaged due to attachment ruptures and traumas. I believe that healing begins with challenging and reframing negative cognitive belief patterns of oneself and situation. I enjoy modalities of therapy such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Play Therapy. I view myself as a passenger on a tour guide with the client as the guide the no perceived image of what to expect and consider it a privilege to be a part of the journey despite an unknown the destination. I aim to assist individuals and families heal mentally and emotionally while honoring as well as respecting the individuals as well as the families values, morals, and beliefs with those I work.
