Greetings,
I am a Professional Licensed Counselor in the state of Louisiana with over 10 years experience working as a therapist, educational consultant and counselor in schools, and colleges. I have worked with many individuals: children (beginning at age 3) teens, young adults, adults and the elderly. I have worked with clients having life issues and concerns of depression, anxiety, autism, ADHD, family issues, trauma (physical, emotional, sexual), multicultural/biracial issues, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, aging/elderly issues, sexuality issues, self-esteem issues, and OCD. I have a doctorate degree in Education, and a Masters degree and soon National Board Certification in Counseling.
My therapy style/approach has been described by clients as “cordial and calming.” I believe in treating all clients and potential clients with respect, giving an empathetic understanding to their issues. I believe in having “non judgement” zone therapy sessions. My existential approach combines cognitive-behavioral therapy, person centered therapy, humanistic and psychodynamic therapies. Every client’s treatment plan will be tailored to meet any unique and specific needs.
