About
I am a graduate of Howard University and New York University, whereby I earned my Bachelor's degree and Master's degree, respectively. My research interests as an undergraduate research assistant included the intersection of black nationalist ideology and family constellation at Howard University and opioid dependence among parolees while researching at the University of Pennsylvania's Treatment Research Center. As a practitioner providing counseling, assessment and psychotherapy, clinical supervision, and coaching, I have worked for the past 9 years in New York state with toddlers, children, teens, and adult populations--including students, actors, musicians, writers, videographers, professionals and entrepreneurs. I have contracted and continue to network with the New York City Department of Education to provide Early Childhood Intervention and Counseling to school-aged children beginning at age 4/ Pre-K: in-school and home-based. Additionally, I have served as a project manager for outpatient services (2 locations): (1) clinical counseling; (2) supervisory oversight; (3) crisis intervention and training and development for all staff; (4) and field clinical supervision with New York University and Mercy College providing on-site clinical training and supervision to Master's level students and candidates for New York state licensure. My current clinical focus in private practice includes adverse childhood experiences and trauma; intersectional trauma, identity, and learned intimacy in adults; and cognitive behavioral therapy for treating mood disorders including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and disordered eating. Additionally, I provide integrative psychotherapy and performance coaching to stage performers, musicians, actors, entertainers, and creatives curtailed to boost potentiality/ high-performance and deconstruct role strain aiding performance anxiety, depression and inadequacy, role conflict and confusion,
