About
I am experienced working with a wide range of issues and concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, family relationships, grief and others. My belief is that trust between therapist and client is paramount to therapeutic progress and to success; I consider it a privilege to be a part of my clients' journey and healing.
My degree is in Clinical Somatic Psychology, a mind/body approach grounded in a framework of Humanistic Psychology which draws from current Affective Neuroscience, Attachment Theory, and Mindfulness. I also have a background in literature and art and have experience working with artists in a variety of mediums on issues relating to the artistic process and other issues uniquely related to artists.
In addition to "talk therapy" I assist clients in strengthening inner resources to regulate anxiety, out of control thoughts and emotions, and stress response in the body. I utilize visualization, mindfulness and cutting edge technology which supports resilience, flexibility and creativity to lower stress levels and improve functioning.
