About
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and I am Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC). I have been working with people in inpatient and outpatient settings for the last 6 years. Helping them navigate through some of the hardest times of their lives. I specialize in co-occurring disorders and have supported people in developing resiliency to make significant changes to their mental wellbeing and their substance use.
It's been a really tough year for us all and it's normal to be struggling right now. If you find that you could use some support, guidance, and space to facilitate change in your life than I can walk aside you.
I will help support you in developing achievable, realistic goals for yourself.
Develop and increase your use of healthy coping skills including shifting and changing thought patterns, developing a healthy sense of self compassion, and become grounded in relaxation practices to reduce stress reactivity. In each session we will practice a routine of skills that can help you manage challenging emotions; including anxiety, mood swings, and cravings/urges.
Increase your motivation and commitment to change. We will utilize a modality called motivational interviewing to explore the changes that will help support your life and increase motivation and drive to accomplish all the "I shoulds" that have been floating through your head.
I will provide space and support as you move forward with making the changes necessary to live the life you desire. Consistent and regular contact to provide the space to increase and maintain your commitment to change, providing feedback, support, and guidance as you accomplish goals and develop new ones.
"Every passing moment is another change to turn it all around."
