Hi there. My name is Danielle Albares and welcome to the safe space of Find A Therapist. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Louisiana and Minnesota with 6 years of experience providing therapy. I believe we all have periods of times in our lives that therapeutic relationships can be of great benefit. I have provided therapy in a myriad of settings including inpatient medical hospitalization, inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, and outpatient therapy. I work with clients affected by anxiety, depression, grief and loss, death and dying, and relationship challenges from individual, group and family work.

I am originally from Louisiana and moved to Minnesota for 3 years. I enjoy visiting with family and friends, walking my dog, hiking and spending time in nature. I completed my undergraduate in psychology from Louisiana State University and my master's program in social work from Grambling State University.

My therapeutic framework originates from Cognitive Therapy as I believe our thoughts shape our behaviors. I utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy which focuses on challenging and changing cognitive distortions and behaviors, improving emotional regulation, and the development of personal coping strategies that target solving current problems. I believe these therapeutic techniques can be most beneficial through video as messages can often be lost through emails or text messages. I look forward to learning about you.
