Hello! My name is Daniel, and I am a licensed mental health counselor for the state of Florida. It is my core belief that, within our minds and personal capabilities, each and every one of us has the resources necessary to succeed in dealing with our problems and difficulties. Therefore, it is my mission as a counselor to link you to the attributes that will help and sustain you in adverse circumstances. I specialize in helping children, teens, their families, and adults in overcoming challenges and difficulties causing emotional distress and functional interference/impairment across academic, occupational, and social domains of functioning. My areas of expertise include teaching parents positive reinforcement methods for improving behavior problems in their children, teaching youths and adults skills to identify and change distorted cognitions and maladaptive behaviors which reinforce and maintain mental health problems such as anxiety and depression, and teaching children and teens the skills to respond adaptively to the demands being placed upon them.
