About
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and have worked as an Outpatient Mental Health Therapist for the last 22 years with diverse populations of all ages. I have seen clients who present with issues ranging from depression, anxiety, family issues, PTSD, emotional abuse and others.
I lean toward the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Rational Emotive Therapy ( RET), and Mindfulness, as well as others. I believe in a solution-focused, problem-solving, goal-setting approach while at the same time emphasizing client strengths.
I feel the most important thing is to treat those I see with unconditional positive regard. I am not here to judge or criticize you. I am here to help you realize the strengths in your life, and address issues that are causing difficulty.
This does not involve telling you what to do or what not to do. This involves the two of us processing issues and coming up with goals, objectives, and interventions that will lead to positive outcomes.
You are to be congratulated for choosing to make positive changes in your life!
I look forward to getting to know you.
