Hi there, I'm Danelle! Hello, My name is Danelle Spikes and I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) working in San Bernardino County where I see clients via telehealth all over the State of California. I work with adults and specialize in depression, anxiety, and trauma. I often use Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Brain spotting to assist clients in meeting their needs and goals. My approach In my approach to therapy, I have a client-centered approach that varies to meet the need of the person(s) seeking therapy. I use several different techniques and tools to assist clients. However, some of the common practices used are Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Brain spotting. These methods assist the client and I in developing a plan where we are working together to address their needs. My focus My style of approach I have found works well for the adults that I see and are dealing with different challenges such as major life changes, current stressful events, relationship conflicts, and past experiences that are affecting their life currently. Symptoms of depression, stress, anxiety, somatic, difficulty communicating, and changes in behaviors and activities often show up as a result of the challenge the person is experiencing. My goal is to help clients manage symptoms, facilitate healing from past experiences, problem solve and develop techniques, methods, and skills to work through current challenges or goals in addition to increasing feelings of empowerment, positivity, and confidence within themselves. My communication style In communicating with clients I present with a calm demeanor, offering warmth and comfort along with a little humor at times. I like for my clients to feel comfortable as we develop rapport where they can develop their own the benefits of having a positive outcome in their therapeutic experience.
