Hello! My name is Dana Givens. I am a professional clinical social worker. I currently hold a license as a LICSW, also known as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I have a Master's degree in Social Work (Clinical Mental Health) as well as a Bachelor's degree in Social Work (Generalist Practice), both completed with honors. I have been a social worker for over ten years in a variety of practice settings.

My therapy style is strengths based, warm and interactive while also future-focused and goal-directed. I believe in treating everyone with sensitivity, respect, and empathy. My therapeutic approach is primarily client-centered utilizing various evidenced-based therapeutic methods. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan based on your intake assessment to meet your unique needs and individual goals.

I am passionate about helping people resolve trauma, to learn to self-validate, have effective communication and interpersonal skills, practice mindfulness, and to improve their emotional regulation and distress tolerance skills. I also enjoy helping couples function well individually and together, one step at a time.
