Mr. Damian Gutierrez is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Florida International University in 2003 and went on to earn his Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Carlos Albizu University in Miami, Florida. He completed his internship working with children, adolescents and adults in crisis. Mr. Gutierrez provided individual, group, marriage and family therapy to individuals suffering from mood disorders, psychosis, and chemical dependency. Following his internship, Mr. Gutierrez worked four years providing therapeutic services to individuals struggling with addiction and to their families. His expertise in assessment measures enables him to identify critical factors in treatment intervention, which is essential to treatment success. In 2007, Mr. Gutierrez accepted the position as Clinical Coordinator and was promoted to Behavioral Health Manager where he supervises a team of clinicians. As a clinician, his primary responsibilities include overseeing the placement and treatment recommendation of children while helping families gain insight and improve overall functionality. Mr. Gutierrez has also been in private practice for 10 years. Mr. Gutierrez also has a vast experience with adolescents and and open mind to those clients that identify in the LGTBQIA community.
