I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in CA that has been practicing therapy in various settings over the past 7 years. My experience over the past 7 years has covered the life span from 3 years old -65+ with a variety of issues including: HIV/AIDS , Substance Abuse, Codependency, Depression, Anxiety, Mood Disorders and grief related to adoption issues.
My approach is eclectic focusing on person centered therapy integrated with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) with somatic approaches. I have found that having many different approaches in my tool kit is most beneficial seeing as not every one adversity or issue is a one size fits all approach and what may have worked in the past may not work currently. I believe that integrating the person centered approach is invaluable and makes it easier to build therapeutic rapport, trust and a genuine helping relationship with my clients.
I am here to listen provide a safe non-judgmental and culturally diverse space. Together we will learn about healthy boundaries, challenging some of your thoughts that continue the unhealthy patterns, and help you get back in touch with who you are, who you are becoming and your best future self. Knowing what you deserve and knowing how to make choices that honor that will lead to healthier relationships with yourself, others, coworkers, romantic partners, and life.
