I am very pleased that you decided to seek assistance. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of North Carolina with nearly 15 years of experience as a clinician. I also recently received my credentials as a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist. I received a degree in Criminal Justice and shortly before my college graduation, I decided that I would attend graduate school to pursue a degree in Counseling. I found myself always assisting my friends with resolving their issues and it was my close college friends who encouraged me to pursue counseling. I additionally have an enthusiasm for helping others and have strived to help other people accomplish their goals and objectives.

I have worked with people from an assortment of backgrounds and assortment of ages in navigating through issues such as stress, depression, grief, self-esteem, life adjustments, anxiety and conflict. My experience in a variety of settings to include home, school, hospital, office and the community has provided me with the opportunity to increase my therapeutic knowledge. I also worked for several years providing case management services to children in foster care.

My clinical approach to counseling involves a variety of techniques to include reality therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and solution-focused therapy to address your therapeutic needs. I like to assist people with examining their current status, change their negative thoughts and feelings and work on mapping out realistic steps to achieve their goals. I love using humor in my approach to counseling and I seek to provide a nonjudgmental and encouraging experience.
