About
Hello!
My name is Dair Melendez-Drier (you can call me Di), and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor. My counseling style is warm and compassionate, creating a safe space in which we can work together to discover new strategies and solutions to the issues you are working on. I enjoy working with a variety of patients of all ages, male and female, with a wide variety of presenting concerns, from coping with addiction, depression, anxiety, grief or sexuality.
I incorporate the client-centered, goal-oriented Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Rogerian therapy and other modalities, and adjust my techniques to suit each individual client’s needs.
My goal is to give you the best care possible, to help you become your best self. Life is often overwhelming, with many unexpected “curveballs”, and staying present and mindful can be a challenge. By working together, we can use your strengths and resources to shift negative patterns of thought and behavior, to improve your emotional well-being, help you to better manage life’s stresses, and make new choices that seemed impossible before we began working together.
Taking the next step in this journey takes courage and honesty. I admire your moving forward into Life!
