About
Welcome. Reaching out for support is a courageous first step. Now that you have done that,
finding the right person for you is the next important step. I’ll tell you a bit about myself, and whether it feels like a good match for your needs.
I have had the honor and privilege of working as a Marriage and Family Therapist for nearly 10 years. I love what I do, and I believe my clients know that when they work with me, feeling safe and free to be themselves. You will step into a safe environment where you can feel heard and seen as you share about yourself, what brings you to therapy, and what you hope to walk away with after it is over. Many times the initial areas of concern are broadened during the course of therapy, and clients walk away with much more than they initially anticipated.
I have worked with many different people over the years, but where my greatest attention has landed is with individuals, couples and families who are seeking to better understand themselves and their relationships. Together, we explore you – what is working for you, and what is not and how to create a life that gives you your best possible outcomes. Often explored areas are beliefs about oneself, patterns of behaviors and relationships, patterns of communication and coping strategies.
Aside from my private practice, I have worked at treatment centers, with a focus on treating trauma, anxiety, depression, substance abuse and co-occurring disorders, and family dynamics.
I have worked extensively with families who have a loved one challenged by substance abuse and have done work with the entire family system in order to support each member, who is impacted. I work with couples who are working toward greater communication and maintaining health and fullness within the relationship. Or perhaps, working to gain insight and solutions about moving away from the relationships. I work with clients who are making life transitions, including grief, loss and divorce. I work with teens, who are navigating developmental concerns of self-identity, friendships, healthy boundaries and life choices, and family relationships.
I hope this has given you a sense of me, and whether this might be a good fit for you. Wishing you all the best in your journey toward your greatest life.
