About

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor. I have worked in social services for 15 years. I specialized in substance abuse because it was a primary issue among some of the families that I worked with. I have varying degrees of working with trauma from working with sexual abuse victims and their families, substance abuse, and mental health. I have worked in a community setting and in a hospital setting. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families.
On a personal note, I have 3 children of my own so I understand the complexities of children, family, and parental roles. I am also Hispanic. I speak Spanish and I grew up with traditional Catholic beliefs yet I am open to other religions and learning more about other cultures. I am an open minded individual. I can also be very honest and direct at times. I appreciate open communication which is vital to any relationship. I believe that you know best about your life and I am just here to help you figure those things out.
