As a licensed clinical social worker and gerontologist, I hold space for individuals across the life span. From early childhood to our elderly years, our experiences as human beings are unique and ever changing. My education in the field of aging along with my back ground in clinical social work allows me the skillset to tailor a person-centered approach to supporting YOU. As human beings we are met with challenges that can often hinder our state of well-being. My approach is guided by your goals, your losses, and your challenges. By identifying all three I am able to look at you as a person and better understand which approaches will support personal success. The therapeutic process is a journey and I believe we are best prepared for the travels of life when we have a confidential travel partner who is able to help conquer challenges. I maintain a solution focus by identifying patterns of behavior. Utilizing cognitive behavioral techniques which allow you to identify your own thought process. This reflection build the confidence within yourself that you have the abilities to make positive changes. Focusing on your unique circumstances while utilizing evidenced based interventions allows me to support you in taking the first steps to regaining a state of well-being. As we age, we often deal with challenging circumstances and my goal is to support my clients while teaching them lifelong l strategies which will be adaptable throughout life. I believe that we are never too old to learn new ways to bring more life into our lives.
