About
I am so thankful you have taken the first step! My name is Crystal Evans and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor through the Arkansas Board of Examiners in Counseling. I have spent the past 13 years in public education with the prior 6 counseling students/young adults. My experience in public school education a unique perception when helping parents helping their children who are experiencing difficulties. My main areas in counseling are working with those who are experiencing depression, anxiety, and identity adversities.
I use eclectic and uses a broad range of theoretical approaches, including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, Reality Based, and psychoeducation to counsel adults. Otherwise I use approaches that fit your personal needs. I will also utilize a holistic approach by exploring with and educating my clients about how their mind, spirit and body are interconnected. I see adults for a variety of reasons including divorce, relationships, grief, depression, anxiety, trauma, life changes, etc. I strive to create a safe and nurturing atmosphere in which individuals can be supported in their efforts to change and grow as well as become reconnected to their strengths and dreams. My theory is that when people have hope and can learn to challenge and replace irrational thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes, people are free to experience change.
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.~ Margaret Mead
