Hi there, I'm Crystal! Hi, my name is Crystal Prancevic, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Southern California and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adults and specialize in addiction, anxiety, depression, stress, and relational issues. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Family Systems to help my clients identify distortions in their thought patterns and acknowledge how their history affects their current behavior and thoughts. My approach CBT is my main approach to clients. I believe identifying, acknowledging, and therapeutically challenging clients' cognitive schemas and distortions can help them better their lives. I also use Family Systems as I believe it is important to acknowledge a client's history to note how it is still impacting a client's current behavior and thoughts. These modalities allow me to help a client face everyday issues along with deeper-rooted issues. My focus I typically work with clients between the ages of 18 and 65 who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, and depressed. Often my clients are also struggling with addiction as they have used drugs and alcohol to self-medicate the problem. I work with my clients to help them develop skills and manage their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and to resolve conflict and improve communication with others. My communication style My goal as a therapist is to make therapy feel welcoming and engaging. I want to connect with my clients and offer them the space to feel comfortable to be able to share anything in a judgment-free setting. I want my clients to look forward to therapy as a space for them to open up about anything and everything. Trust and rapport are of utmost importance to me as a therapist. My journey to therapy I chose to become a therapist because I have always enjoyed helping others by talking about their problems with them.
