About

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois with over 10 years of experience in social services. As a clinician, my therapeutic style is warm and authentic and I believe in building a genuine and trusting relationship with my clients to act as a safe container to facilitate growth and change.

I am primarily trained in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic psychotherapy, but I also utilize modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and mindfulness and somatic-based therapy. Theoretical frameworks such as harm reduction, feminist theory, and social justice inform all aspects of my practice and approach.

I particularly enjoy working with people on life transitions, relationship or attachment issues, identity development and exploration, family of origin concerns, substance use, depression/anxiety/mood disorders, trauma, body image and eating disorders, and self-esteem. I am also particularly interested in working with queer and trans folks.

Through our work together, I will provide a space for you to explore patterns in your life and learn how to break free of things that are no longer serving you and to build the skills needed to live a rich and full life. I am looking forward to working on your therapeutic journey with you!
