Resiliency describes a person's ability to survive, and even thrive, in the face of extraordinary challenges and adversities. I believe that each client, no matter their age or the challenges they face, exhibits a great deal of resiliency before even beginning therapy. My approach focuses on harnessing each client's unique strengths to help them accomplish the positive, lasting changes they most desire. While the goals of the child or young person are the central focus of treatment, I often work closely with parents/caregivers to enhance communication, strengthen relationships, and foster ongoing systems of support. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist with over a decade of experience providing therapeutic support to individuals and families. I am also certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, widely considered the gold standard intervention for youth exhibiting post-traumatic stress.
