My approach begins with the belief that individuals are resilient and may benefit from utilizing their own strengths to increase their resilience. Individuals often ask, “How do I build on my personal strengths?” My philosophy is that it is about identifying several factors; What you are passionate about? What motivates you? What interests allow you to be excited about today and look forward to tomorrow? Identification of these variables assist in attaining lifestyle balance, developing healthy coping skills, recognizing your priorities and problem solving. I have a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have also done extensive work in the field of addiction and mental health. I have experience working with many populations and all age groups. I believe in meeting an individual where they are and assisting in making changes to get to where they want to be. I am a Person-Centered therapist who utilizes an eclectic mix of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems and Brief Solution Focused Therapy. My philosophy is to assist individuals to achieve manageability in their own lives then continue to work towards balance, peace and contentment in all the major life areas.
