Hello, my name is Courtney Greer and I’m an LCSW based in the Dallas, TX area. As a military veteran, I have always found comfort and guidance in the idea of consistency, and I commend you today for taking the first steps towards creating a new pattern of consistency within yourself, your environment, and the goals in which we will set together.

I served in the United States Army as a Parachute Rigger and upon exiting the military, I returned to college where I received my bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and went on to receive a master’s degree in social work from the University of Texas Arlington. I am currently a doctoral candidate at Capella University where I study social work and am actively researching the affects of military cultural awareness on veteran hospice patients for my thesis project.
My approach to therapy is client-centered. I am a strong believer that the client is the expert in their life journey and that greatly influences the course and depth of the therapeutic process.

As a social worker, I have ten years of experience working in a variety of settings to include military trauma, domestic violence and sexual assault as well as grief and loss. I work with clients that are affected by anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship stressors, women’s issues, chronic pain and navigating the grief process. I work with a variety of different treatment modalities in an effort to assist clients in accomplishing their goals, to include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Mindfulness and Solution-Focused-Therapy.
