My name is Constance Cook, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Boston University in 1992. I have worked in inpatient, outpatient, and forensic settings and have worked with individuals and families who have a variety of personal issues including depression and anxiety, family stressors, trauma and abuse, addiction issues, criminal backgrounds, LGBTQ issues and more.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating every client with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral theory and motivational interviewing skills. Most primary to our success will be the therapeutic relationship that we will establish together. We all deserve to share our personal truths and be accepted and understood; thus, I am open-minded and non-judgmental. Our relationship with our self and others has worth and is useful to explore in our work together.

Taking the step to seek counseling/therapy is a big decision. Be kind and patient with yourself and I am hopeful that together we can create positive changes, a sense of empowerment, and provide a source of strength for your future.
