Hello! My name is Conicka and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 13 years of experience in the field of mental health and substance abuse. I work with individuals with a wide range of concerns including depression, mood disorders, family relations issues, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders. I combine different therapeutic approaches based on client's presenting concerns, goals, and motivation, such as, cognitive-behavioral, brief therapy, mindfulness, client-centered, solution-focused therapy. I would be a good match for anyone interested in a counselor of color and/or one who provides a safe space for all individuals.

My background consists of working in substance use and addiction, mental and behavioral health, military and veteran specific issues as well as specializing in services for individuals with suicidal ideation.

My philosophy is as simple at this quote from the late Kobe Bryant, “the most important thing is to try and inspire people so that they can be great at whatever they want to do.” Therapy is a collaborative process and I will assist you to learn, grow, and make positive changes that can result in a more fulfilling life.
