About
Arkansas is where I was born and I continue to live in Arkansas today. I was raised in the city and exposed to the outdoors as a child, which offered a unique perspective on life. I use that perspective in my adult life and it ultimately shows up in my therapy approach as well. I received a bachelors of arts degree in psychology from Arkansas State University in August of 2011 . I then attended Henderson State University, where I met my wife where we both studied clinical mental health counseling and received our masters of science in December of 2013. We both began practicing as a counselor and married in 2014, we also have two children.
I am licensed by the state of Arkansas as a professional counselor(LPC), where I have been seven years. I have experience assisting clients with a multitude of issues including but limited to depression, anxiety, self esteem issues, relationship challenges, co-parenting and family issues, as well as substance problems. I have primarily worked in a clinic setting, however recently I have transitioned to telemedicine due to the necessity following restrictions due to COVID-19. I tend to use person-centered, cognitive behavioral, and reality theory however the individual issues presented will dictate the therapy or technique needed.
Clients, peers, and family all seem to agree that I am easy to talk to, which I accredit to my desire to see through others lens without bias. I appreciate undivided attention and standing in others shoes to assist them understanding their issues and solutions to those issues. It is my goal to provide therapy that has measurable goals with real world applications and healthy results.
I look forward to defining and taking the next steps necessary to be the healthiest you!
