About

I have been a license mental health counselor for almost 10 years in Iowa and Nebraska. I have worked with numerous populations including children and teens as well as adults and individuals who need treatment for substance abuse. Throughout all of these experiences I have learned to work with a variety of concerns that clients bring including depression, anxiety, family conflict, finding direction for life goals, and much more. I also have experience working with individuals who have traumatic backgrounds.

My therapy style is inviting and I do my best to make sure that you are comfortable. I like to use humor appropriately when needed as I feel like it can help move sessions along and help people be a bit more comfortable. I believe in treating everyone with respect and building a trusting working relationship which includes treating you with dignity and remaining sensitive to what brings you to see me in the first place. I will never take credit for the successes you achieve since you are the one doing the hard work!
