About

Hello my name is Dia Williams. I am a Bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience working with diverse populations. I very much like a positive and holistic approach to therapy My approach I believe in a person centered approach as you are the expert of your life and your life experiences, so collaborative we will write your new narrative. I commonly use principles and techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy , Play therapy and Trauma resiliency model, somatic work for nervous system regulation and Mindfulness techniques. My focus I offer individual therapy to children and adults coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship and intimacy issues. My communication style Together we will challenge false narratives, and limiting beliefs that contribute to the ongoing contemplation of starting your journey. My journey to mental healthcare I was raised by my grandparents who instilled in me that we all have a purpose in this world. My grandfather embodied empathy as he helped anyone he came across. He was an educator whose mission was to spread the word that everyone, regardless of their situation deserves to be loved. My goals for you Everyone’s healing journey is unique, so together we will develop coping skills based on your individual needs in order to achieve your goals. My aim is to walk alongside and help you gain a better understanding of how your experiences have impacted the way you approach life. My first session with you Starting your healing journey can seem overwhelming and lonely. My role is to help you see the mind and body connection by offering a safe space designed to increase authenticity and vulnerability, deepen self-awareness, and find balance in your life.
