What should your client know about you? Hi there, I am Clarissa! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor in the state of Texas with 5 years of experience. I have had the joy of working in various mental health settings, like traditional talk therapy, women’s health clinics and non-profit organizations. My clinical experience has given me the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, adults, and couples. What is your approach to therapy? My approach to therapy is individualized and selective based on the various and evolving needs of the clients that I serve. I am passionate about supporting clients navigate life transitions, grief and loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, family/relationship and self-esteem issues. I often use (but not limited to) therapy approaches such as cognitive behavioral, solution focused, existential, and person centered.  What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you? My goal is to create a safe, affirming and non-judgmental environment in order for clients to find healing and reach their full potential. I work collaboratively with clients throughout the counseling process to ensure we are on the right treatment path as well as their goals are being met. I am here to help clients navigate the difficult emotions, thoughts or behaviors that may arise.
