About

My name is Claire Worsham, and I was born and raised in the South, graduating with my masters degree in social work from Louisiana State University. I love good food and adventure, but I am passionate about nutrition and exercise, and I enjoy helping others pursue health related goals. I use my counseling degree and my knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help others achieve their goals in my personal and professional life, and I am very excited when I can be part of people's journey to better health. I believe in problem-solving over problem-spotting, and I feel a solution-focused approach is often most helpful when trying to achieve goals involving our physical/mental health. CBT techniques can maximize success in this efforts, a truth I have seen in my work and in my personal life.

My profession and passion is working with the elderly and issues related to death and dying. I often deal with grief and bereavement in my work, and I am comfortable talking about declining health and the medical field. In contract to my work in CBT, my approach when dealing with these concerns is less about solutions and more about being there with each person and family as a source of comfort as I help clarify their goals for their family in regards to health and happiness. I find most people need someone to listen during these times and comfort them by processing these major life changes as they are happening. I don't shy away during tough conversations, and I strive to be open and authentic in my professional and personal life.
