Hello and Welcome. I am a licensed therapist in the United States with 12 years of experience working with adults who have experienced trauma, crisis, and extreme stress including individuals traumatized in childhood from emotional, physical and/or sexual abuse, individuals traumatized as adults by violent situations such as combat, law enforcement work, fire and rescue, relational violence, sexual violence, and natural disasters. I am a veteran of 24-years’ military service, including having served 7 years in Europe. I am also a survivor of childhood trauma. I am also experienced working with adults who are experiencing other challenges including dissociation, profound grief, divorce, adjustment, depression, anxiety, job loss, family dysfunction, gender issues and other life complications.

While many of these issues are serious, I believe in a healing approach….. that with guidance, people can move beyond pain and struggle into wholeness and even joy. I use a strengths-based approach and believe that my role is to collaborate with each person to find a healthy way forward. I am trained and experienced in the use of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), RTR (Rapid Trauma Resolution), and CBT (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy), along with a number of other approaches. This integrative approach allows me the ability to tailor counseling to meet individual needs in a kind and non-judgmental way.
