My name is Ciana and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker born and raised in Los Angeles. First, I commend you for taking the first step in finding support with whatever challenges you may be facing. It’s not always easy seeking help and you are on the right track. My therapeutic style uses a solution-focused, goal-orientated and person-centered approach. This means that your goals and meet you where you are at and your goals drive what direction our sessions go. I have experience and certification in modalities like trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and managing and adapting practices (MAP). I have experience working with the geriatric population and adult caregivers, though my expertise lies in serving children, families and young adults including adoptive and foster families and those who have experienced trauma, loss, or abuse. I graduated with distinction from California State University, Northridge with a Master’s Degree in Social Worker, Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Associate’s Degree in Mathematics. I believe in setting measurable and attainable goals so that we can monitor progress and adapt treatment to meet your needs. I have a range of expertise helping clients process all types of trauma, adjust to life changes, work through relationship problems and overcome barriers keeping clients from living a fulfilling life. I’ve worked with diagnoses ranging from ADHD, Bipolar, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, ODD and Alzheimer’s. I believe in empathy, respect and communication.
