About

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with 20 years of experience working in the school system. I have worked with children and families on a variety of issues including anxiety, ADHD, grief and loss, family changes, coping skills, and parenting techniques.

I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Reality Therapy to help clients examine their situation, identify their strengths, and find coping skills or solutions that will work for them. In my approach I create a warm environment in an effort to make the client feel safe and welcome. I incorporate my Christian beliefs into my counseling when working with clients who share those beliefs. My hope is to be a therapist who helps the client to see their own strengths and understand their ability to create their own solutions.
