Hello, my name is Christy and I currently hold a license as a Professional Counselor and a certification as a substance abuse counselor in the state of Virginia. I have over 7 years of experience in working in mental health and substance use with both adults and youth. I am very passionate about helping others and always remain humble knowing that we all benefit from counseling in our lives. My clinical approach favors Irvin Yalom (here and now) because in my experience the counseling relationship is what drives the progression of therapy. I am also very person-centered. Each person is the expert in their own lives. I look forward to coming along side of you and walking with through the journey to a better you.
