I have 15 years of experience working with clients as a psychotherapist. I specialize in working with individuals with low self-esteem. The goal of self-esteem therapy is to increase a client's self-esteem, show clients how to maintain high self-esteem and teach clients how to stabilize their self-esteem. I also see clients for various other issues, such as depression, anxiety, and couples counseling. I am mainly a cognitive behavioral therapist. I focus on teaching coping skills, processing upsetting feelings, and finding practical ways to deal with issues. One of the goals of therapy is to get you to a place where you don't need therapy anymore as quickly and efficiently as possible. At the end of therapy, you should have learned many techniques to cope better with the issues you are currently struggling with. Each session will have a "take home" message and homework as appropriate.
