I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, looking forward to helping you define your mental health and wellness goals, relieve suffering, and rediscover joy. I come to this work after a rich background of education and work in areas as varied as sales and customer service, theater and radio performance, and restaurant/hospitality; I am also a Licensed Massage Therapist in New York State. I earned my Master of Social Work Degree from Binghamton University (SUNY Binghamton) in 2013, and I have several years of clinical experience in Mental Health and Hospice. I work with each client in essential somatic awareness to address symptoms at a more visceral level, developing tools that may help calm anxiety and release tension. I have a particular interest in working with individuals who may be facing challenging adjustments in life, such as college students (of any age), or who may be struggling with profound loss, whether it be related to job, career, illness, relationships or the death of a loved one. Because I believe in a whole-person perspective, you can expect questions from me about your health habits, the leisure and creative pursuits you enjoy, and your spiritual (or philosophical) beliefs.
