Hi! I’m Christine. Welcome to Find A Therapist and to my profile page. Reaching out for support isn’t always easy. Good for you for taking this step!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 15 years of professional experience. I got my Bachelors of Social Work at Brigham Young University and my Masters at Virginia Commonwealth University. I have worked in community mental health, pastoral counseling settings, private practice, and most recently in a community healthcare center. As you can imagine, these experiences have given me the opportunity to work with a variety of individuals and a wide range of concerns such as post-traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, grief, and the general stressors of life. I am trained in many therapies and use a trauma-informed approach in applying all of them, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Accelerated Resolution Therapy.

I view counseling as a collaborative process since you are the expert on you and your situation, and I have an array of tools and experience to use in helping you make the changes you want to make and finding the healing you are looking for. I bring a warm empathy to the work we do together and value your input about the things that are working well in the process and the things that are not. I’m not afraid of shifting gears and trying something different if what we are doing isn’t working for you. I also like to work from a strengths-based perspective because I recognize that even though things may feel overwhelming or too difficult to handle, you have abilities and personal strengths within yourself that can be channeled into increasing your well-being.
