About

I have a love for helping others on their journey of discovery, goal setting, and celebration of success. Embedded in our helping relationship is unconditional positive regard for your personal experience. Though open-ended questions, my role is to serve as guide on your path to achieving the best version of you. Life can be amazing. We have an ability to grow toward light even in our darkest moments. Your story is valuable and has meaning. It is in the writing of your own narrative that healing and evolution occur. It is my role to serve as a compassionate and trusted counselor meeting each individual where they are. I am passionate about supporting individuals, couples, and families through life’s transitions and challenges. It is in the moments of life’s unexpectedness, when we are most vulnerable with ourselves, that growth and resiliency take root, renewed focus and authentic change occur.

I earned my MSW from the University of South Florida and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (SW9909) in the state of Florida. In my more than 20-year career, I have developed extensive experience working with families and individuals who have special needs including autism spectrum disorders and children/adolescents with adjustment and anxiety disorders; as well as stage of life, caregiving responsibilities for loved ones with chronic conditions and aging related issues. My approach is solution focused while enhancing healthy and sustainable coping skills, gaining clarity regarding goals, and achieving long-term success. I use theory and techniques from Cognitive Behavior and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Crisis Intervention, Mindfulness, Psychoeducation, and Solution-Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic and System Theory.

At my heart, I love growing others and being a part of a healing and productive journey. It is equally important to me to balance helping others with my own self-care. I am an avid yoga practioner and have completed my 200-hour YTT certification.
