About

I started my career working with adolescents that were pregnant and parenting in high school. This opened the door to my various experiences working with young, growing adults and families. I gained further knowledge of the racial and poverty challenges taking place in our communities. I managed a variety of cases involving individuals that are experiencing trauma, parental abuse and neglect, couples counseling and mediation, and managing chaotic situations.

The most important part of building a therapeutic relationship, is to know that I am not the expert of your life. I use empathy and create a non-judgmental environment, allowing humor and the collaborative effort to work towards realistic goals.

I want you to feel comfortable and at ease to tell your story and work on the current challenges taking place in your life. I want this to be a team effort and establish the goals you are wanting. My role is to provide comfort and support, as you develop and discover through the therapeutic process.
