About

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in Washington State. I have been working in mental health in various capacities since 2005 including working with the foster care system, juvenile justice, treatment courts and with inpatient facilities.

I obtained my Master's in 2010 and began counseling individuals, couples, children, adolescents and families. I work with a wide population and age range and am client centered. I believe in a positive therapeutic relationship and alliance. I view my role as being supportive, focusing on strengths, skills and empowering client's to make the changes that are right for them.

I am trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.

I believe the larger our toolkits are, the more coping skills we have to face the ups and downs in daily life in addition to the larger challenges. Certain life events can throw us a curveball and sometimes we need a different mitt for the challenges we face. Also, we all need a coach and a cheerleader sometimes!
