About

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I have been in the field for a little over 5 years. I have experience with working with the incarcerated population and exploring the impact incarceration has on family on the outside. I also have experience with understanding healthy relationships, setting healthy boundaries, improving parenting skills, managing depression and anxiety. I have worked with those with Bipolar disorder, and I have also worked with those with a trauma history.

I have a very open and engaging counseling style. I like to spend time getting to know the individual and understanding their personality before diving into the deep issues, as this helps me as a clinician to better understand the best approach. I have experience using Cognitive behavioral therapy, Dialectal behavioral therapy, trauma informed care, solution focused skills, and motivational interviewing. With my education background, I have understanding and skills to explore family system theories as well.
