Hi! My name is Christina Calkins. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor experienced in treating a range of different therapeutic issues. Most common issues of focus include assisting those who struggle with depression, anxiety, personality disorders, mild to severe mental health symptoms, trauma, low self-esteem, grief & loss, ADHD, ODD, and behavioral challenges. Additionally, I have helped children and adults struggling with adjustments and transitions in life to overcome barriers and live productive, happy lives. My role as a therapist is to partner with my client's who are in recovery so that we can work together to create positive change. My theoretical approach to therapy is Cognitive Behavioral with an emphasis on trauma symptom reduction. It is extremely important to build a therapeutic relationship with my clients based on trust so that clients feel as comfortable as possible and supported through the entire process. I am experienced in treating people across the lifespan, but specialize in treating children and adolescents. I look forward to meeting you and to working together.
