About
I strongly believe in the mind-body connection. Without an activated, engaged body, our perceptions of self and others may become stagnant, harmful, or distorted. In addition to my therapeutic practice for ten years, I have been an avid rock climber-paraglider and have used movement as part of my practice. I have personally found that being outdoors, surrounding ourselves with natural beauty, and mindfulness activity decrease symptoms of depression-anxiety. This experimental approach to therapy does not mean you have to be an experienced outdoor athlete. Do you find yourself isolated in front of your TV or stuck scrolling on your phone? Allow our appointments to be a break from that. Often a simple walk can motivate us to change our maladaptive habits. Although this format is telehealth, I will still coach and encourage you to go outside, engage in exercise, and challenge yourself to learn something new.
