It is exciting to be a part of your healing journey. I have worked in a clinical setting for the past six years. Prior to that I worked primarily in Human Resources. I have enjoyed working with the ages of four to 84 and all ages in between. In the clinical setting I have provided individual, family and group counseling. The concerns of my clients included: depression, anxiety, self-harm/suicidal behavior, bereavement, psychotic episode, family conflict, substance abuse/dependence, trauma work (physical/sexual/mental abuse) of women, men and children. I also have worked with individuals who struggled with gender identity and the issues that often arise.

My therapeutic style is to get to know the individual and work through the problematic areas with what I call my tool box. Despite similarities in our life stories, there are unique differences and the method of treatment is tailored to the client. For the purpose of identifying a therapeutic platform I often use narrative, CBT and solution-focused therapy. I have been trained in EMDR but have not obtained certification. It is very useful in treating PTSD, I have not used it during online session of therapy but am currently looking into it.

Many times, in this life we are brought to a crossroads and question which path we take. I believe that if you have come this far there is a need to take the journey down the path that leads to better understanding your mental health and begin the process of working on whatever issue you may have. I applaud you and encourage you to continue to try and find balance of your mind, body and spirit.
